 So-Shihan Watanabe is only one who can tell about the truth of Mass Oyama because he was the one, had “kumite” against Mass Oyama when he was the top of his time.

 

“Sensei Oyama’s defensive techniques were very aggressive.  He controlled whom balances whenever he touched his opponents, even opponents throw punches and kicks.  I must say that was “offensive” defense.”

 

“Sensei also controlled distance.  I always wonder how he could attack me from such a long range that I could never reach him.  It took me to spent about 3 years to “steal” his secret skills.”

 

  He sometime starts to talk about his good old memories during lesson, which is one of reasons for us to go to "Densho-Karate"
